To live a high existence to me to first realize what it means to your to be your higher self (and what it means to be your lower self).
An example of you at your higher self may be when you are
creative, present, joyful, productive, loving etc. Whilst your ‘lower self’ may
be stagnant, unreasonably selfish, fearful, passive aggressive, emotionally
unstable. This is to some degree subjective and to some degree can be
concluded by looking at patterns in different philosophies across cultures. There
are obviously some consistent values to look towards.
Once you have a clear enough idea of these two, then to live
a high existence, you want to spend your life trying to constantly spend more
time identified with the consciousness (or level of thought, belief and action)
of the higher self, and less time with your ‘lower self.’
For me some of these values would be:
– Cultivate gratitude
– Becoming present
– Embracing uncertainty
– Taking responsibility
– Seeing the world in term of abudance rather than
scarcity
– Becoming a producer rather than a consumer
– Striving to have a world-centric view i.e. you
care about more than just yourself and your immediate circle
